In this episode, I explain why I believe spearfishing is more dangerous than competitive freediving. Competitive freedivers have extensive safety systems, training, and risk management systems in place. Many spearfishermen have had no formal training and do not follow the most basic safety protocols, leading to unnecessary and easily preventable fatalities.
